Hey guys,

I wrote a new poem!!!(lol) So far it's a one sided conversation, I'll let you read it to find out what it's about. I'm hoping on writing a reply from the person who is being talked to, but I'm kind of all out of ideas. So if you have any ideas as to where the person is coming from I'm all ears. Also I'm trying to think of a title for this poem. Anyways here it is, tell me what you think and if you can come up with any ideas for the "title" or the "reply" to this poem then tell me that too.

(Untitled)
Written by: Avi Verk

What do you want with that one?

Is it money? Is it sex?

Or is it the blatant knowledge,

That I’m the one it effects,

I’ll have to tell the family,

I’ll have to tell the friends,

That there poor little Emily,

Won’t be there at the end,

Not at the end of the second, minute or hour,

She won’t be there to bloom like a flower,

They will miss her in the morning,

When they wake and when they yawn,

Even in the early hours,

At the time known as dawn,

They will miss her during brunch,

While they try to stomach food,

They can’t define it,

An unexplainable mood,

They will miss her in the eve,

When they will read their tales,

They’ll even try and forget,

But in the end that will fail.

They will miss her at midnight,

Arguably the loneliest hour,

Some will cuddle next to teddies,

Others will hide and cower,

You will inflict great pain,

To her family and to her friends,

Now please explain to me,

Why do you decide when her clock ends?

READ THIS FIRST

Hey everybody, i guess you might have noticed that i havent really done anything on my xanga lately, soo... i figured i would have you tell me what to put up, so everybody post something that you want me to write a poem about, it can be happy, sad, loving, mad, whatever you want, try and think of an emotion or action rather then a thing, well thats it

p.s~if i write some stuff about things you tell me to, i'll put a foot note about you ok, poems will be shown newest to latest, in opposite order(ie. the third poem comes first, then the second, and then the first)

pp.s~only post ideas on here i will later set up different posts for all of the poems and i'll try and set up a pole

Forth Poem

Two Special Rings
Written by: Avi Verk
Dedicated to: Hannah Abegg

You’re beautiful in everyway,

That is what I’d like to say,

I love you so dearly,

I love you sincerely,

I’ve tried to explain it,

But there’s no way to tame it,

These feelings I have for you,

This can’t be anything but true,

There’s a question I’m dieing to ask,

Asking it will be my hardest task,

I can’t ask now, I can’t ask here,

Your answer will make me shed a tear,

I can’t wait to hear your answer,

But I’ll survive; I’m a Loyalist Lancer,

Loyal to you more then any other,

More loyal then money, friend, or brother,

Only one will you stand behind,

Three people whom are intertwined,

Father, Son and Holy Ghost,

They are the ones whom I love most,

 Anything they say,

Will happen one day,

They have told me much and many things,

Of me, you and two special rings,

I won’t ask now,

I hope you understand,

The way and the how,

Are not written in sand,

I love you dearly,

I love you sincerely.

Third Poem

The Man He Killed

Written by: Avi Verk

The bullet now burns deep in my chest,

He shot first, I failed the test,

Why were we fighting?

I've got not a clue,

I now lay here dieing,

In hundred dollar shoes,

I lay on the ground as still as still,

On that day, I was the man he killed.

Second Poem

Buzz | Polka Dots | Tina

Written by: Avi Verk

Inspired by: Tina Ramsay

(She made up the title)

Polka dots are colorful,

Red, Blue, Black and Green,

Tina is uber wonderful,

Sometimes she wants to scream,

She holds it in, she tucks it away,

That's why she is so great,

Even if she is in major dismay,

Not once has she said hate,

The kindest person that I have met,

I’m happy to call her friend,

When she grows up she’ll be a vet,

She can make anything a trend,

Buzz buzz go the busy bees,

While they work on there hive,

She does everything with ease,

No matter what she will survive.

First Poem

Happy | Laughing | Poutine

Written by: Avi Verk

Inspired by: Sam McNiel

(She made up the title)

In the cafeteria,

Where people make the food,

Some students in hysteria,

I’m in a great mood,

I am so happy,

As you now have seen,

The reason I am happy,

I get to eat poutine.

I don’t actually like these fries,

All covered in gravy and cheese,

But Sam, she has wondering eyes,

Now as well as shaking knees,

She loves the grease and cheese,

But she can’t have even one,

If she were to have these,

She would soon be done,

Being diabetic is not a crime,

She did nothing bad,

But she is still serving her time,

Not eating makes her mad.

In The Alley

Written by: Avi Verk

In the alley, there the body lay dead,

Decapitated, it lay without a head,

Motionless it laid covered in dirt,

Nameless, shapeless, thoughtless, no pain, no hurt,

The fluids from inside now meet with the brains,

Now many creatures creep upon the remains,

They creep inside the veins oozing out like jam,

Death crept upon it like a brutal lamb,

Sirens flash and an ambulance drives by,
Nobody even realized that he did die,
Passing the body as if not even there,
People walk by as if without a care,

In the alley, there the body lay dead,
Decapitated, it lay without a head.

The Word Love
Written by: Avi Verk

Dedicated to: Hannah Abegg

You don’t understand the way that I miss you,

The love is greater and deeper then the big blue,

I feel it when I wake, I feel it when a sleep,

This feeling inside it burns so deep,

I hate the word love,

I told you this before,

I used to throw it around,

Like the word was a whore,

Someone would compliment me,

I told them that I loved them,

Someone would hug me,

I told them that I loved them,

I began to hate myself,

But I hated the word ‘love’ more,

When I first felt this way about you,

You were one that I could truly adore,

Now with this new way I feel,

Now that I know that love can be real,

I love the word ‘love’, but the hate leaves its scar,

Now the only thing I hate is that you live so far,

Please don’t ask me what I like about you,
Cause its every little thing you do,
And that’s just the way you make me feel,

You can never ask for too much,
Cause I’d travel the –states– just to feel your touch,
And that’s just the way you make me feel
.”
